8/1/10

More or less everyone woke up around 8am, and we've had breakfast at 9am. Until the lunch, it was free time for us; so some of us spent the time in the rooms, some in the first-floor hall, some of us played Kubb. A game like bowling where you throw a stick and try to knock down the other teams “knights” and then lastly the “king” some of the other people here called it the Viking game.
We were also told that countries may start doing their presentations today. Camp leaders chose Denmark, the Netherlands and Turkey to do their presentations after dinner.
Lunch was at 1pm, and it was prepared by camp attendees of Sweden, Finland and Germany. It was meatballs and mashed potatoes.
We were told that after the lunch we would go to the town center of Sölvesborg. Since today is Sunday pretty much everywhere was closed, but in any case it was a nice sightseeing. One of the camp leaders explained us some remarkable buildings in the town.
Eventually, we were taken back to the camp. It was free time again. Some of the camp attendees played volleyball, when some others played Kubb.
Dinner was at 6pm. After dinner, we gathered in the hall for the first three of the country presentations. The Netherlands was the first to do their country presentation.
After solving some 'technical difficulties', attendees from Turkey performed their presentation, followed by the Danish.
After the presentations it was free time again. And then bed.

  2. What kind of presentations did they do? What does *written by Güneş Ünüvar from Turkey* mean? Did somebody share a story by the author? Are you going to do a presentation originating from the U.S.?

  3. everyone has to do a presentation on thier country...they just tell some facts and history. yes i also had to do one about the United states.
Each day someone from the camp is assigned to write a journal entry about the day and on the 1st it was Güneş that wrote it. it is mostly his words so i had to give him credit. i also added in some of my own thoughts here and there though.
